This week we talked about your final project - which will be due on May 28th. Remember that it should be something that you care about. Here's a link to a short version of the lecture.

This will be our last project. May 28th would also be the date to turn in any late assignments.

Documentary Project + End of semester schedule

Just a quick note - here's a link to the documentary project lecture.

Here's the schedule for the rest of the semester:

5/7 We will be doing sun prints in class so you need to bring some items that we can use. They should have a range of transparencies and not be too large. If you have old negatives or slides, those would be great as well.

You will be getting the final project this day.

5/14 Documentary project is due.

5/21 Your written critique paper is due and we will be doing the mid-term redo/final this day as well.

5/28 Final Projects day - and last day to turn in any late assignments or redox

6/4 Individual Meetings in my office.

Midterm Review

A reminder that next week we will be having out midterm quiz. It is NOT a scantron or multiple question style of test. You will have questions and need to supply the answers.

Here is a link to a shortened version of my Midterm Review lecture - and you'll see the style of questions that I will be asking. Please make sure to thoroughly review this lecture and your notes.

Here's some examples of Depth of Field:

Self Portrait in 20 frames assignment.

Here's a link to the Portraiture lecture - a short version - and some examples of past student projects. Remember that you will want to have them printed in the smaller size (3x5 approx) so they will fit onto a 16x20 board. You will need to shoot all of them either as verticals or horizontals for them to fit into a grid. The only shot of you is on the top left side.
